Glenn, Grantee This Indenture and agreement made and entered into this 17th day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & forty nine by and between Martin Glenn of of the County of Orange & state of North Carolina on the one part & Heirless J. Glenn of the County & state aforesaid of the other part: Witnesseth that the said Martin Glenn for and in consideration of the sum of One hundred and fifty Dollars to him in hand paid by the said Heirless J. Glenn the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained& by these presents doth bargain & & sell to the said Heirless J. Glenn, his heirs assignes forever the following tract or parcel of land lying in the County of Orange on the waters of Elerbee's creed adjoining the Lands of Wm. Glenn, Duncan Glenn & others as bounderies follows. Beginning at Thos. H. Glenns corner then North 85 degreed West 13 chains to a hickory then North 17 1/3 degrees West 52 chains 25 links to a pine then South 88 1/2 degrees East 29 chains 60 links to a stake then South 74 1/2 degrees East 13 chains 55 links to a hickory with Thomas H. Glenn's line North 16 1/2 degrees West 48 1/2 chains to the beginning Containing by survey one hundred & thirty four & one third acres be the same more or less with all appertanances thereto belonging to his the Heirless J. Glenn his heirs & assigns forever the lawful right & title of which I forever warrant & defend against the claim or claims of any person or person whatsoever.
