Jeremiah Glenn, Grantor		Dempsey Wood, Grantee

This Indenture made this Ninth day of December in the year of our Lord One 
Thousand eight hundred and thirteen by and Between Jeremiah Glenn of Orange 
County & State of N.Carolina of the one part and Demsey Wood of the County and 
aforesaid State of the other part.  witnesseth that the said Jeremiah Glenn 
for and in Consideration of the Sum of ten Pounds to him in hand paid by the 
S. D. Wood the Receit whereof is hereby acknowledged have bargained, given, 
granted and sold and confirmed and by these presents doth give, grant bargain, 
Sell and Confirm unto the said D. Wood his assigns forever a certain Tract or 
parcel of land in the County & State aforesaid containing Seven Acres      
bounded as follows;  Begining at Wake line at Leathers  
corner thence with his line West 21 poles to a pine            thence S. 15 W. 
60 oles to the Beginning    To have & to hoold the S. Tract or parcel of Land 
with all  signular the appertenances         &             
                                  and profits thereof &        and the said  
D. Woods his heirs &         forever and the S. J. Glenn for himself & his 
heirs doth consent & agree    and uwith the S. D.Woods be warrant and forever 
defend the aforesaid Land & premises           thereod unto the S. D. Wood his 
heirs & assigns & against all claims forever.  In                     he the 
S. Jeremiah Glenn have hereunto set his hand and affixed his  Seal the day & 
date above written.
