Witnesseth that for the consideration of the sum of four hundred and fifty dollars in hand paid to said John Hancock paid by the said Duke Glenn the Receipt is hereby full acknowledged hath given granted bargained and sold unto the said Duke Glenn his heirs a certain tract of land lying on the sought side of Eno River Beginning at Red Oak on the bank of said River above an old ford Walter Alvis's line thence with said line and Turner line south 45 o East 182 poles to a stake then south 50o west 70 poles to a pine the dividing corner thence with the dividing line of Mary Woods line n 57o West 130 poles to a of the spring branch thence down the same to the main branch and down the meanders of the same to the mouth at the River and then down the same to the beginning Containing one hundred and fifteen acres be the same more or less be the same more or less.
