Jesse A. Glenn, Grantor		Martin Glenn, Grantee

	This Indenture made this 21st day of March Eighteen hundred and fifty 
four between Jesse A. Glenn, Hier at Law of Thomas A. Glenn, Decd. of State of 
Georgia, Chattauga County on the one part and Martin Glenn of the County of 
Orange and State of North Caroilna of the other part.  Witnesseth that for and 
in consideration of the Sum of Five Hundred Dollars to me in hand paid by the 
said Martin Glenn the Receipt whereof the said Jesse A. Glenn, Heir at Law of 
Thomas A. Glenn, Decd. doth hereby acknowledge hath given granted bargained & 
Sold aleined & confirmed by these presents doth give grant & bargain forever 
all that tract of land Situate lying and being in the County of Orange & State 
of North Carolina on the Elebees Creek Joining            S.Williams & the 
said Martin Glenn on the North and William Glenn on the west William 
Hardcastle the South and Albert Hardcastle & others on the East Containing 
seventy five acres be the same more or less.  To have and to hold the 
aforesaid tract or parcel of land with its appertances unto the said Martin 
Glenn his heirs and assigns to the only proper and behalaf of the said Martin 
Glenn his heirs and assigns forever and the said Jesse A. Glenn, heir at Law 
of Thomas A. Glenn, Decd. for himself and his heirs the aforesaid lands and 
premises and every part thereof against himself and his heirs and against the 
claim or claims of all and any other person or persons whatsoever to the said 
Martin Glenn his heris and assigns shall and will warrant and from           
by these presents.  In witness whereof the said Jesse A. Glenn hath set his 
hand the day and year first above written.
