All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/nc/ncfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Jacqueline Wilkerson jgwilkerson@earthlink.net April 9, 2007, 8:44 pm Written: June 30, 1814 Recorded: November 1814 Orange County North Carolina Deed Book 15, Page 17 John Glenn to Solomon Wood John Glenn ) to ) Solomon Wood ) This Indenture Made thirthied day of June in the Year of our lord one thousand eight hundred & fourteen Between John Glenn of the County of Orange & State of North Carolina of the one part & Solomon Wood of the said County & State of the other part Witnesseth that for & in Consideration of the Sum of One hundred & Two pounds ten Shillings in hand paid to the said John Glenn by the said Solomon Wood the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged & in Consideration thereof he the said John Glenn hath given granted bargained & Sold & by these presents doth give grant bargain & Sell unto the said Solomon Wood a certain piece or parcel of land Situate lying & being in the County of Orange on Ellibas Creek & bounded as followeth Begining at a pine & post Oak said Woods corner thence North fifty degrees East Twenty Two & a half chs. to a red oak [bush] then South forty six degrees east Twenty three chs. to a Hicory Tyre Glenns corner then with his line South Forty four degrees West thirty Nine chs. to a Hiccory in David Glenns line then North forty four degrees West fifteen Chains to a Stake said Woods corner on the side of the great Road then with his line North ten degrees East Nineteen & one fourth Chs. to the Begining Containing Eighty eight acres & all the appurtenances thereto belonging or in any wise appertaining & all the estate right title interest use trust property claims & demand whatsoever of him the said John Glenn & his heirs To have and to hold to the said Solomon Wood his heirs & assigns forever In Witness whereof he the said John Glenn hath hereunto set his hand & affixed his Seal the day & year above written Signed Sealed and ) Jno Glenn (Seal) Delivered in presence of us ) James Latta (Jurat) Orange County November Term 1814 Jacob Latta The Execution of the within Deed was duly proved in open Court by the Oath of James Latta a Subscribing Witness thereto & ordered to Registered Test Jno Taylor CCC.
