William Hall to Jesse Millar

This Indenture made the twelfth day of August Eighteen hundred 
& Twenty five between William Hall of the County of Orange & 
State of North Carolina of the one part & Jesse Millar of the 
County & State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the 
said William Hall for & in Consideration of the Sum of Three 
hundred pounds to him in hand paid by the said Jesse Millar before 
the sealing & Delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is 
hereby acknowledged by the said William Hall Bargained Sold & by 
these presents doth Sell, convey & deliver unto him the said Jesse 
Millar one Tract or parcel of Land lying & being in the County & 
State aforesaid on the Waters of Buffalow Creek adjoining the 
Lands of Thomas Notgrass & others Beginning at a White Oak on said 
Halls line, running South twenty nine chains & Twenty five links 
to a White Oak & black Oak, thence East crossing said Creek Twenty 
Six chains & Twenty five links to a Maple, thence North eight chains 
& fifty links to a Stake, thence East twenty four chains & Seventy 
five links to a Stake near a pine tree, thence South eighty three 
degs. East twenty two chains to a White Oak, thence North Twenty 
four chains & fifty links to a Post Oak, thence West Seventy five 
chains to the first Station Containing one hundred & Sixty one acres 
be the same more or less with all woods, mines, minerals, appurtenances 
whatsoever thereunto belonging to the use & behoof of the said Jesse 
Millar his heirs & assigns forever, As witness my hand & Seal -                                           Wm Hall [Jr]  (Seal)
