On 24 July 1760 James Horton patented 320 acres in Orange Co. NC on both sides of Dial Creek. This land was surveyed on Feb 19, 1750. Loose papers in Granville Land Office state that he was granted 640 acres on 16 May 1752 and warranted on 2 May 1753. NC Pat. Bk. 14, 414 and Granville Deeds # 352.
