Neeley in consideration of One Thousand Dollars to us paid by Wesley Neeley the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged have bargained and sold and by these presents do bargain sell and convey to said Wesley Neeley and his heirs all our interest in a Tract of Land in Orange County State of North Carolina adjoining the lands of Henry T. Gates Candice Garrard John Tilly Candice Garrard William Roberts Mary Leathers Wesley Neeley and others bounded as follows viz Beginning at a Black Oak on Henry T. Gates formerly James Balls line running thence North 73 degrees East Forty one chains and twenty links to a poplar on the West side of the Raleigh Road thence North with said road to a stake in the center of said Road thence with a marked line North 88 deg East seven chains and twenty links to a Spanish Oak thence South three chains to a white or post Oak thence South 83 ½ degrees East nineteen chains and Eighty links to a post Oak thence North three chains to a Black Oak on C Garrards (Formerly Parkers) line thence with her line 49 ¼ degrees West twelve chains and fifty links to a stake & Pointers her corner thence West with hers and William Roberts lines thirty chains to a white Oak stump thence North Sixteen chains to a stake thence West four chains and fifty links to a Dogwood stump on the West Bank of Mountain Creek formerly standing on Mary Leathers line thence West with her line thirty nine chains and twenty five links to a Black Oak thence South 15 deg East along Wesley Neeleys line thirty nine chains and twenty five links to a Red Oak thence with said Neeleys and Henry T. Gates lines South 11 ½ deg West Eighteen chains and forty links to the first station Containing Two hundred & thirty two 3/10 acres more or less The same being formerly Two tracts of Land, One which was deeded to John Neeley from William & Mary Dollar and the other tract to said John Nealey from Samuel Bumpass. This land was sold to Wesley Neeley by Squire D Umstead Esr of John Neeley Decd but the said Umstead died before a Deed was made One fifth interest has descended to Wesley Neely and he has purchased the interest of the other heirs and settled all debts due from the estate of John Neeley To have and to hold the aforesaid tract of Land and all priviledges and appurtenances thereto belonging to the said Wesley Neeley and his heirs and assigns to his and their only proper use and behoof - And the said I Laws & wife Louisa S A Neeley E D.
