Witnesseth that the said David Lynch for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars to him in hand paid by said James Forrest before the signing and sealing of these present- the receipt thereof is hereby acknowledged hath thereby these presents doth grant, bargain, sell, alien, ?, convey and confirm unto the said James Forrest and to his heirs and assigns forever, a certain tract or parcel of land containing eighty sever and one half acres adjoining the lands of said James Forrest and being a part of Thomas Linches original tract- lying on the waters of Back Creek in the aforesaid county of Orange and state of North Carolina.- Beginning at a post oak, thence west forty three chains to a Black Jack, thence, north nineteen chains and seventy five links to a black oak thence, east forty five chains to a stake, thence, south forty west nineteen chains and seventy five links to the beginning be the same more or less with the a?tenances thereof to have and to hold the said Lot No. thru eighty seven and one half acres of land with its app?tenances with the said James Forrest to his heir and assigns forever and all the estate right title interest property claim and demand of him the David Lynch doth in the same and every part and parcel thereof to the only proper use benefit and behalf of him the said James Forrest his heirs, executors, administrators or ? and the said David Lynch for himself his heirs, executors and administrator doth covenant and agree to and with the said James Forrest- to warrant and forever defend the title of the aforesaid tract of land hereby conveyed against the lawful title, claim and demand of all person, whatsoever. In testimony whereof the said David Lynch hath hereunto set his hand and seal this day and year first above written signed sealed and acknowledged.
