Peter Mallett to George Bradford
This Indenture made and concluded this Sixteenth day of October in the year of
our Lord One thousand Eight hundred Between Peter Mallett of the County of
Cumberland and State of North Carolina of the one part & George Bradford of
the County of Orange and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the
said Peter for and in consideration of the Sum of One hundred dollars to him
in hand paid the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge hath granted
bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell unto the
said George his heirs and assigns one tract or parcel of Land and premises
situate in the County of Orange on the waters of back Creek begining at
pointers on his own line runing thence North thirty one chains and twenty five
links to a stake John [?] corner thence west thirty Eight chains to a Hiccory
thence South Eighty degrees west twenty two chains and fifty links to a
Sassafras then South then East thirty seven chains and fifty links to a
Sassafras on the widow Pattons line then North Eight East with the old line to
the first Station - Containing two hundred acres be the same more or less
which land with all its appurtenances rents remain ders title right [?] the
said Peter Mallett doth and will hereby warrant and forever defend from
himself his heirs and assigns and from all and all man ner of persons whatever
laying any claim thereunto, unto the said George Bradford his heirs and
assigns In Witness whereof the said Peter hath hereunto set his hand and Seal
this date above written.
