Morgan and Gillie A Morgan of Orange County and State of North Carolina of the first part to W. C. Redden of Orange County and State of North Carolina of the second part Witnesseth; that said Parties of the 1st part in consideration of a division of the Thos. Morgan land & one Dollar to them paid by said W. C. Redden the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged have bargained and sold and by these presents do bargain sell and convey to said W.C. Redden and his heirs and assigns a certain tract or parcel of land in Orange County State of North Carolina adjoining the lands of A J Lloyd and others and bounded as follows viz Beginning at a Rock in in the West bank of P[?]swood Creek Wiley B. Morgans corner in John R Morgans line, thence East 19 chs & 68 lks to a Rock in A J. Lloyds line the North East corner of John R Morgan, thence N. 12° W. with AJ Lloyds line 12 chs & 60 lks. to a Rock Gillie A Morgans South East corner thence her line West 21 chs & 40 lks to a Rock in the West bank of P[?]wood Creek, thence down said creek as it meanders to the 1st Station Containing 25 9/10 acres more or less To Have and to hold the aforesaid tract or parcel of land and all priviledges and appurtenances thereto belonging to the said W.C. Redden and his heirs and assigns to their only use and behoof forever, And the said parties of the 1st part for themselves and their heirs executors and administrators covenant with said W.C. Redden and his heirs and assigns that they own 4/5 Int of said premises in fee and have right to convey 4/5 int in fee simple; that the same are free and clear from all encum= =trances and they do hereby forever Warrant and will forever defend the said title to the same against the claims of all persons Whomsoever In Testimony whereof the said parties of the 1st part have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first above written W.C. Redden, WP Morgan, J R Morgan, Gillie Morgan and Biney Morgan his wife personally appeared before me this day and acknowledged the due execution of the annexed deed of conveyance; And the said Biney Morgan being by me privately examined separate and apart from her said husband touching her voluntary execution of the same doth state that she signed the same freely and voluntarily without fear or compulsion of her said husband or any other person and that she doth still voluntarily assent thereto Witness my hand and private seal this 23d day of April AD 1909 J.
