Morgan of Wake County and state of North Carolina, of the first part, to W.C. Reddon of Wake County and state of North Carolina of the second part; Witnesseth, that said party of the first part in consider of six hundred ($600.00) dollars, to paid by the party of the second part, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, has bargained and sold, and by these presents does hereby bargain, sell and convey to said party of the second part his heirs and assigns, a certain tract or parcel of land in Orange County, state of North Carolina adjoining the lands of A.J. Lloyd, Jos. McFarland, and others, bounded as follows, viz: Beginning at a rock the north west corner of W.C. Reddon on the west bank of Presswood creek, thence with said Reddon’s line east 21 chains and 40 links to a rock on A.J. Lloyd’s line, thence his line north 12 west 16 chains and 80 links to a rock Jos. McFarland corner, thence his line south 70 west 20 chains and 55 links to the west bank of Presswood creek thence down said creek as it meanders to the first station, and containing twenty five and nine tenths acres more or less. Note; See deed registered in Book #63 on page #263 in Office of Register of deeds of Orange County. To have and to hold the aforesaid tract or parcel of land, and all privileges and apperten- ances thereto belonging, to the said W.C. Reddon the party of the second part to his heirs and assigns, to their only use and behoof forever. And the said Gillie A Morgan for herself and her heirs, executors and administrators, covenants with said party of the second part his heirs and assigns, that she is seized of said premises in fee, and has the right to convey in fee simple; that the same are free and clear from all incumbrances, and that she does hereby for- ever warrant and will forever defend the said title to the same against the claims of all persons whomsoever. In testimony whereof, the said party of the first part has hereunto set her hand and seal, the day and year first above written. Attest her Jno. W. Morgan the grantor, personally appeared before me this day and acknowledged the due execution of the annexed deed of conveyance; Let the same, with this certificate, be registered.
