All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/nc/ncfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Jacqueline Wilkerson jgwilkerson@embarqmail.com September 5, 2009, 1:45 pm Written: August 19, 1817 Recorded: August 1818 Orange County North Carolina Deed Book 17, Page 9, 10 Frederick Nash etal to John Reding Fredrick Nash & others ) To ) John Reding ) This Indenture made this 19th day of August 1817 between Frederick Nash of the Town of Hillsborough George Burgwin & Maria, his wife & Robert Ogden & Elizabeth his wife of the first Part & John Reding of the other part Witnesseth that we the said Frederick Nash, George Burgwin & Maria Burgwin, Robert Odgen & Elizabeth Ogden for and in consideration of the Sum of One hundred & Eighty nine Dollars to us in hand paid by the said John Reding the Receipt whereof we do hereby acknowledge have Bargained, Sold aliened, [?] & conveyed & by these presents do Bargain Sell alien [?] & convey unto the said John Reding his heirs & assigns a Certain Tract or Parcel of Land in the County of Orange Begining at a Black Oak & runing thence South with Gaddis’s line 56 chains to a black, thence East thirty chains to a black oak, thence North with Angl[?]s line 56 chains to a black oak thence West thirty chains to the first Station. Containing by Estimation one hundred & Eighty Eight acres & one hundred and twelve poles be the same more or less: To have and to hold the aforesaid Land & Premises with their appurten =ances unto the said John Reding his heirs & assigns forever binding ourselves truly to Warrent & defend the said bargained premises unto the said John Reding his heirs Executors, administrators & assigns free from the claims of all Persons whatsoever Excepting twenty acres in the North part of said Tract extending from side to side which we do not warrent – In witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands & Seals the day & Year first above written - Fredrick Nash (seal) Signed Sealed & delivered Maria Burgwin (seal) in Presence of ) Geo.
