Orange County, NC - George Neese to Jacob Neese, 1816 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Deed Book 15, Page 416 George Neese To Jacob Neese This Indenture made this 6th day of August one thousand eight hundred & Sixteen between George Neese of the one part and Jacob Neese of the other part both of the County of Orange Witnesseth that the said George Neese do give and by [..] to my beloved son Jacob a certain tract of land and premises lying in the County of Orange on the Great Allamance Creek adjoining the lands of Bostorn Sharp, John Sharp and John Eflane and George Neese. Beginning at an ash on said Creek, Shap's corner, then along his line South forty five degreed West ten chains and seventy five links to a gum themce South sixty degrees East Six chains to a Hickory thence South forty five degrees West twenty chs. Seventy five links to a black oak then north forty five degrees West five chains seventy five links to a P.O. then South forty five degrees West twenty nine chs. And seventy five links to a black oak thence North thirty three chains and seventy five links to a white oak thence East seven chians and seventy five links to a spanish oak then North thirty five degrees East twenty five chains to an Iron wood on the said Allamance, then down the same as it meanders to the Beginning including half the stream, containing One hundred and thirteen acres 6 ch. [. . .] To have and to hold the same land of [. . .] to the only proper use of him the said Jacob Neese his heirs forever & assigns forever and the said George Neese for himself and his heirs doth covenant and agree to and with the said Jacob Neese that he the said George Neese the land and premises hereby granted and every part thereof against himself his heirs etc. and all persons claiming by or under him the said Jacob Neese his heirs and assigns will warrant and forever defence by these presents [. . .] whereof have hereunto set my hand and seal this sixth day of August 1816.
