Richardson Nichols to John Redding Sr

This Indenture made the 7th of May One thousand eight hundred and
thirty two between Richardson Nichols Esqr. of the State of North Carolina & County
of
Orange of the one part and John Redding Senr. of the same County and State of the
other
part Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of One hundred & Sixty
Seven dollars & a half to him the said Richardson Nichols in hand paid by the
said John Redding before the sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt
whereof
is hereby fully acknowledged he the said Richardson Nichols hath bargained and
sold aliened conveyed and confirmed and by these presents doth bargain sell alien
and confirm & Convey unto the said John Redding his Heirs and assigns forever
a certain tract or parcel of Land lying & being in the County of Orange aforesaid
on the waters of Little River adjoining the land of David Ray and Thomas
Barlow beginning at a black oak David Rays Corner running East
to the Creek then the various course down the Creek to Barlows line then
South with Barlows line to a Rock Barlows corner then South 45 degrees West
West to David Rays line then North with David Rays to the beginning Containing
by estimation sixty Acres more or less To have and to hold the above described with
all the appurtenances thereunto belonging to him the said John Redding his heirs
and Assigns forever to his and their only proper use and behoof and the said
Richs Nichols hereby binds himself his heirs and to warrant and forever defend
the above described Land and premises with all the appurtenances to him the
said John Redding his heirs and assigns forever against the lawful claim or
claims of all and every person whatsoever claiming by through or under me
In Witness whereof the said Richardson Nichols hath hereunto Set his hand
and affixed his Seal the day and year above written
