Book #40, page #372, No. 1055, Grant No. 129, entry no. 370, 117 acres:

State of North Carolina, Entry No. 370
“John Butler, Entry Officer of claims for lands in the County of Orange. To the 
surveyor of the said county, greeting. You are hereby required, as soon as may 
be, to lay off and survey for Thomas Clark, a tract or parcel of land 
containing two hundred and fifty acres [conflicting reportage of acres between 
entry taker and surveyor], lying in the county aforesaid, on the waters of 
Nunn’s Creek, a branch of Eno, bounding on the land of James Hogg, Daniel 
Cloud, Martin ?Malmer?, Henry Sills, and Thomas Tullock, including his 
improvements.”

“Observing the directions of the Act of the Assembly in such case, made and 
provided for running out lands. Two just and fair plans of such survey, with a 
proper certificate annexed to each, you are to transmit with this warrant, to 
the secretary’s office without delay. Given under my hand at Mount Pleasant, 
the 29th day of September 1778. John Butler. E. T.”

	“Plotted to a scale of 30 ?DW to an inch
	This plan represents a tract of [land] lying Orange County on the 
waters of Nunn’s Creek bounded on the north by Cloud, on the east by Hogg, on 
west by Tullock, on the south by ?Pancer, surveyed for Thomas Clark beginning 
at a ??? running north 46 D. W.? to 150 East 25?-50 links, to a H, south 46 
D.W. to a B.G., west 25-50 links to the first station. Surveyed October 18 
1778. H. L. Taylor, Surveyor, John Mitchel, William Clark, ?Chain Carriers?”
