William Pendergrass Sr to William Pendergrass Jr

   This Indenture made this twenty fifth day of January in the year of our Lord One
thousand Eight hundred & Nine between William Pendergrass Senr of the County of
Orange & State of 
North Carolina of the one part & William Pendergrass Sunr of the same County & State
of the other part 
Witnesseth that the said William Pendergrass Sr hath given and granted & released a
certain tract or 
parcel of Land lying and being in the County aforesaid on the waters of [?] Creek
Begining at a White 
Oak [?] & Masseys corner thence runing East to a stake in Merretts line thence along
the said line North 
to a rock Masseys corner Thence runing west with the said line to a Post Oak corner
thence South to 
the first Station Containing Eighty acres be the same more or less to have and to
hold the above 
mentioned Land to the said William Pendergrass Junr & the said William Pendergrass
Senr doth for 
myself my heirs Executors or assigns warrant & defend
the above mentioned Land & premises to the said William Pendergrass Junr his heirs &
assigns
forever clear of all claims or incumbrances whatsoever [etc] as Witness whereof I
the said
William Pendergrass Senr hath set my hand and affixed my Seal the day & date above
