Indenture made this 24th day of Se[ptember one thousand eight hundred ? between John Reaves of the one fact and Willis Reeves __(pg torn) said both of the county of Orange and State of North Carolina, witnesses that the said John Reaves for and in consideration of the sum of One hundred pounds to him in hand paid by the said Willis the receipt where of he doth herby acknowledge hath given Granted bargained and sold and by these present doth give grant bargain and sell unto the said Willis Reaves a certain piece parcel of land and premises lying being situate in the County aforesaid on the waters of Backbruke Beginning at a black oak running North fifteen chains to a post oak thence east fifty chains to a post oak near a road thence south fourty five chains to a white oak rhence west twenty five chains to a stake on said John’s old line thence north thirty chains to a hickory thence west twenty five chains to the first station containing one hundred and fifty acres to the same more or less and the reversion and revision remainder and remainders rents profits here _____ and _____ whatsoever belonging or in any way pertaining also all the estate right title properly claim interest _______(pg torn) and whatsoever as well in equity as in law of him the ___ (pg torn)) of in and to the above mentioned land and premises and ___(pg torn) parcel thereof to the proper use behalf of him (og torn) __ his heis and assignes forever to have and to hold the said (pg torn) ___ as full and ample a ?? as they are noe (pg torn)___ John and the said John Reaves for himself and his (pg torn)___ and grant to and with the said Willis Reaves (pg torn) ___ tract or parcel of land and premises hereby bargain ( pg torn) against him the said John Reaves his heirs Executor administrators forever with warrant and by these present forever defend witness whereof the said John Reaves hath herunto set his hand and seal the day and year above written.
