Robert Redding to Robert I Taylor

Redding ) State of North Carolina
  To         )     Orange County
Taylor    )  This Deed made this 22 day of January 1886 by
Robert Redding of Orange County and state of North
Carolina of the first part to Robert I Taylor of Orange
County and state of North Carolina of the second part
Witnesseth that said Robert Redding in consideration
of the sum of Four Hundred Dollars to him paid by
said Robert F. Taylor the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged
hath bargained and sold and by these presents do bargain sell
and convey to said Robert I Taylor his heirs a certain tract
or parcel of land in Orange County State of North Carolina
adjoining the lands of Sarah Tinnin Sarah Taylor said
Robert Redding and others bounded as follows viz
Beginning at a hickory on Sarah Tinnins line thence West
twenty four chains and fifty links to a rock or pointers
thence North twenty chains and fifty links to pointer thence
East twenty four chains and thirty links to a rock on
Tinnins line thence South twenty chains and fifty
five links to the beginning Containing Fifty acres more
or less To have and to hold the aforesaid tract of land
and all privileges and appurtenances thereto belonging
to the said Robert I Taylor to his heirs and assigns to their
only use and behoof forever
And the said Robert Redding covenant that he is
seized of said premises in fee and hath right to convey
the same in fee simple that the same are free and
clear from all incumbrances and that he will war
rant and defend the said title to the same against
the claims of all persons whatsoever
In testimony the said Robert Redding hath hereunto
set his hand and seal the day and year above written

The foregoing certificate of G.W. Tate a Justice of the
Peace of Orange County at the time of signing the above
