Thomas Reding to James Horn Sr

This Indenture made this twenty Eighth day of December in
the Year of Our Lord One thousand Eight hundred & Eighteen
between Thomas Redding Senr. of Orange County & State of North
Carolina of the one Part and James Horn Junior of the County of
Orange & State Aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said
Thomas Redding Senr for & in Consideration of the Sum of Sixty dollars
to him in hand paid the Receipt whereof the said Thomas Reding
Senr. doth hereby acknowledge himself satisfied & paid the said Thomas
Reding hath granted, bargained & sold & by these Presents doth bargain
& Sell & confirm to the said James Horn Junr. his heirs & assigns forever
A Certain Tract or Parcel of Land, lying & being in the County of Orange
& State aforesaid and is bounded as follows Begining at a Hickory
Thomas Reding Junr Corner thence North 14 Chains to a Gum, thence
West 1½ chains to a Gum, thence North 7½ chains to a White Oak
thence West 18 Chains to a Post Oak, thence South to a Stake Thos.
Reding Junr. line Containing by Estimation Forty Acres more or
less: And the said Thomas Reding do by these presents bind
himself his heirs Executors, Admrs. & assigns forever against the lawful
claim or claims of all Person or Persons Whatsoever to Warrant & forever
defend the above Mentioned premises unto the said James Horn Junr
to himself his heirs & assigns forever & from the lawful claim or title
of any Person or Persons Whatsoever In witness Whereof the
said Thomas Reding Senr. hath hereunto set his hand & affixed
his Seal the day & Year first above Written –
