John Redding Sr to Robert Redding

This Indenture made this 16th day of September 1825 between John Redding Sr.
of the first part and Robert Redding of the other part Witnesseth that the said
John
Redding for and in consideration of the sum of One hundred and Eighty nine dollars
to him in hand paid by the said Robert Redden the receipt whereof I do hereby
acknowledge have bargained sold aliened [?] & conveyed and by these presents
do bargain sell alien [?] & Convey unto the said Robert Redden his heirs and
Assigns a certain Tract or parcel of Land in the County of Orange beginning
at a stake 6 Chains south of the beginning corner on the Nash deed to John Redden
Senr. thence
South 52 Chains & 50 links to a spanish oak William Woods and Joel Clous corner
thence with Clouds line East 32 Chains & 25 links to a post oak said Clouds corner
thence with his line North 9 Chains & 50 links to a post oak corner of [Major] John
Ray formerly Angles the same course continued on said Rays line 43 chains making
in all 62 Chains & 50 links to a stake thence West 32 Chains & 25 links to the
beginning corner containing in all 170 Acres be the same more or less. To have &
to hold the aforesaid Lands and premises with their appurtenances unto the said
Robert Redden his Heirs and Assigns forever binding myself to warrant
and defend the said bargained premises unto the said Robert Redden his
Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns free from the claims of all persons
whatsoever – In Witness whereof I have set my hand & Seal this day & year
