All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/nc/ncfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Jacqueline Wilkerson jgwilkerson@embarqmail.com September 11, 2009, 12:08 am Written: August 12, 1884 Recorded: July 3, 1885 Orange County North Carolina Deed Book 48, Page 351, 352 Lucy & William Redin to John H Berry Redin ) This Indenture made and intered into this the To ) 12th Aug 1884 between William Redin and Lucy his Berry ) wife of the County of Wake and State of North Carolina of the 1st part and John H Berry of the County of Orange in said State of 2d part – Witnesseth that the said parties of the 1st part for and in consideration of the sum of twenty five dollars to them in hand paid by part of 2d part the receipt Whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained sold aliened and confirmed unto said party of 2d part all of their right title and interest to him the said John H Berry his heirs and assigns forever in a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the County of Orange said State Containing One hundred and one acres more or less adjoining the lands of Y P Whitaker David Woods the Cole place and others And also all the wood Ways Water & Water Courses and all and every appur- =tenance thereunto belonging and the rents issues and profits of the aforesaid land and premises and every part thereof and all the estate right title and interest or demand Whatever of parties of 1st part – To have and to hold the aforesaid premises unto the said party of 2d part his heirs and assigns forever and said parties of 1st part for themselves their heirs and assigns the aforesaid lands and every part thereof against themselves their heirs and against the claim or claims of all and every other person Whatever to the said John H Berry his heirs and assigns and do by these presents Warrant and forever defend the right and title to the same In testimony Whereof we hereto set our hands & seals. his William X Redin mark her Lucy X Redin mark Be it remembered that on this the 12th day of Aug 1884 personally appeared before me a Justice of the Peace in and for the County of Orange William Redin and Lucy his wife and duly acknowledged the execution of the foregoing deed of Conveyance.
