All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/nc/ncfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Jacqueline Wilkerson jgwilkerson@embarqmail.com March 31, 2009, 2:32 am Written: May 30, 1798 Recorded: May 1798 Orange County North Carolina Deed Book 7, Page 227, 228 Thomas Reding to John Reding, This Indenture made this 30th day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and ninety eight Between Thomas = =Reding of Orange County and State of North Carolina of the one part and John Reding of Orange County and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said Thomas Reding for and in Consid= =eration of the sum of forty pounds to him in hand paid before the Sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt whereof he doth hereby Acknowledge himself therewith fully Satisfied contented and paid and there of doth acquit and discharge him the said John= =Reding and his Heirs forever have bargained and Sold and by these pre=sents doth bargain Sell Convey and Confirm unto the said John Reding and his Heirs forever one certain tract or parcel of land and plantation Situate lying and being in the County aforesaid and on the South Side of Eno river Bounded by Abraham Whitacres land on the- South and Jacob Allens on the East and by the river Eno on the North Begining on the bank of Eno at a Stake runing East one hundred and Ninety Poles to a Stake on the said John Redings line then North thirty four poles to said Allens line then West a long Allens line Ninety Pole to a White Oak then North one hundred and twelve poles to a Stake then West eight poles to a Stake on the bank of Eno – River then up the various courses of the river to the first station Containing by Estimation eight one acres be the same more or less also all trees, Woods, and underwoods, Tithes, commons, pastures of pasture, Profits, commodities, advantages, hereditaments, ways, Waters and appurtenances Whatsoever to the said [Message] and land above mentioned belonging or any wise appertaining and also the Remainder and Remainders, Reversion & Reversions, rents, and Services of the said premises of every Part there of and all the Estate, right, title, Interest, Claim and demand Whatsoever of him the said Thomas Reding of in and to the said [Message] and Premises and every part thereof To have and to hold the said [Message] and tenements And all and singular the Premises above Mention= =ed and every part and parcel thereof With appurtenances there unto- belonging unto the said John Reding his Heirs and assigns to the only Proper use and behoof of him the said John Reding his Heirs and Assigns forever and the said Thomas Reding for himself and his Heirs [Message] or Tenement and premises and every part there of a- Gainst him and his Heirs and Against all and every person or- persons Whatsoever to the said John Reding his Heirs and Assigns Shall and will forever Warrant and defend by these presents.
