All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/nc/ncfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Jacqueline Wilkerson jgwilkerson@embarqmail.com September 5, 2009, 1:15 pm Written: October 3, 1806 Recorded: November 1806 Orange County North Carolina Deed Book 12, Page 265, 266 John Reding to Jacob Allen John Reding to Jacob Allen This Indenture made this third day of October in the year of our Lord Christ one thousand Eight hundred & Six Between John Reding of Orange County and State of North Carolina of the one part and Jacob Allen junior of Orange County and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said John Reding for and in consideration of the Sum of Two hundred pounds to him in hand paid, the receipt whereof the said John Reding doth hereby acknowledge that he hath granted bargained and sold aliened and confirmed and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell alien and confirm unto the said Jacob Allen his heirs and assigns forever all that messuage, piece or parcel of Land situated lying and being in the County of Orange and State of North Carolina and bound as followeth by Abraham Whitakers Land on the South and by said Allens on the East and by the river Eno on the North Begining on the bank of Eno at a stake runing East one hundred one hundred & Seventy poles to a white oak then South two hundred & thirty four poles to a poplar in a branch then North Two hundred & thirty four poles to a stake on the branch of [?] creek, then East twenty poles to a Hiccory then North thirty four poles to a Hiccory on said Allens line then west one hundred and ten poles to a white oak said Allens corner then North one hundred and twelve poles to a stake, then west Eight poles to a stake on the bank of the river, then the various courses of the river to the first Station Containing by Estimation One hundred and one acres and three quarters be the same more or less also all trees woods and underwoods titles commons pastures pastures profits commodities advantages hereditaments, ways waters and appurtenances whatsoever to the said messuage of Land above mentioned belonging or anywise appertain =ing and also the remainder and remainders reversion and reversions rents and services of the said premises and every part and parcel thereof and all the Estate right, title, Interest claim and demand whatsoever of him the said John Reding of in & to the said messuage and tenement and all and singular the premises above mentioned and every part thereof thereunto belonging unto the said Jacob Allen his heirs & assigns forever to the only proper use and behoff of him the said Jacob Allen his heirs and assigns forever, and the said John Reding for himself & his heirs and assigns the said messuage and tenement shall forever warrant and defend by these presents In witness whereof whereof I the said John Reding have hereunto set my hand and affixed my Seal the day and year first above written – Signed Sealed & delivered in presence of John Reding (LS) Jacob Whitaker Orange County November Term 1806 The Execution of Thomas Reding the within Deed was duly acknowledged in open Court by John Reding the subscriber thereto & ordered to be registered Test John Taylor delivd.
