Stephen Reding to Jacob Whitaker

Jacob Whitaker  )  This Indenture made this seventh of October
in the year of Our Lord One thousand eight hundred & fifteen
between Stephen Reding of the County of Orange & State of North
Carolina of the One part and Jacob Whitaker of the said County
and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that for and
in consideration of the Sum of One hundred & fifty pounds current
Money of said State in hand paid to the said Stephen Reding
by the said Jacob Whitaker the Receipt whereof is hereby acknow
=ledged and in Consideration thereof he the said Stephen Reding
hath given granted & Sold and by these presents doth give grant
bargain & sell unto the said Jacob Whitaker a certain piece or parcel
of Land Situate lying & being in the County of Orange on Eno River
and bounded as followeth Begining at a Red Oak on the bank
of the River runing thence along William Cabes line Thirty two chains
to thee Post Oaks on the bank of Haw branch then down the
various Courses of said Branch to the River then up the River
as it meanders to the begining Containing One hundred & four Acres
and all the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise apper
=taining and all the right title interest use trust profit claim and
demand whatsoever of him the said Stephen Reding of in & to the
said land & premises & Every part thereof To have & to hold unto
the said Jacob Whitaker his heirs and assigns forever and the said
Stephen Reding doth Covenant the aforesaid land & premises against
himself & his heirs and against the claim or claims of all & every
other person or persons Whatsoever shall & will Warrent & forever
defend by these presents In Witness whereof he the said Stephen
Reding hath hereunto set his hand & affixed his Seal the day &
