All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/nc/ncfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Jacqueline Wilkerson jgwilkerson@embarqmail.com September 5, 2009, 2:33 pm Written: May 2, 1836 Recorded: May 1836 Orange County North Carolina Deed Book 27, Page 10 David Reding to John Reding This Indenture made this the second day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty six, between David Reding of the County of Orange & state of North Carolina of the first part and John Reding signier of the County and state aforesaid of the second part witnesseth that the said David Reding for and in consideration of the sum of six hun= =dred and fifty dollars to him in hand paid by the said John Reding Sr. the receipt whereof the said David Reding doth hereby acknowledge hath granted bargaind and sold aliened [?] released and confirmed and by these presents doth grant bargain & sell alien en= [?] release and confirm unto the said John Reding sr his heirs & assigns for ever one hundred acres of land sit= uate lying and being in the County & state aforesaid one the waters of little river begining at Ray & Nichols corner on a black oak on Crossetts line runing thence west so far up the line of Ray & Nichols to make the said one hundred acres of land by runing south to the land belonging to the heirs of Joseph Ray decd. thence east to the corner on John Reding’s senr. line thence North to the begining to have and to hold the said one hundred acres of land and the premises attached there =unto to him the said John Reding his heirs and assigns for ever and the said David Reding doth cov= =enat and agree to warrant and forever defend the right of said land unto the said John Reding his heirs & as= =signs for ever free from the claim of himself his heirs & executors administrators or assigns or any per =son claiming in through or under him the said David Reding in any way whatever In testimony whereof I have set my hand and seal this day and year above written in presence of Joseph Barlow Wm Jurdan Joseph Barlow David Reding (seal) Wm Jurdan Orange County May Term 1836 The execution of this deed was duly proved in open court by the oath of Joseph Barlow a subscribing witness thereto and ordered to be registered J Taylor C.C.
