Robert Reding Agt to Mary A Woods

This Indenture made on the twenty fourth day of
February one thousand Eight Hundred & forty seven
Between Robert Redding (agent of the church Session of
Little River church) of the County of Orange and State
of North Carolina of the first part and John Redding
of the County of Orange and State of North Carolina of
the second part and Mary A Woods of the County of Orange
and state of North Carolina on the third part
Witnesseth That whereas the said Robert Redding (agent
as aforesaid is Justly indebted to the said Mary A
Woods in the sum of Sixty on Dollars and Sixty cents
which she Mary A Woods hath paid to the estate of
Timothy Dunegan on the Note given by the Rev. Dan
=iel G Doak as on reference to a certain bond or note beari
=ng even date with this presents will more fully appear
and whereas the said Robert Redding (agent as aforesaid)
is honestly deserious to secure the payment of said debt
Now therefore this Indenture witnesseth that for &
in consideration of the premises together with the fur
-ther consideration of the sum of one Dollar to the sd
Robert Redding (agent) in hand paid by the said John Red
=ding the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged in full
he the said Robert Redding (agent) hath granted, bargai
=ned & sold and by these presents does grant, bargain and
sell unto the said John Redding a certain tract or par
=cel of land Known by the title or name of Little river
parsonage lying and being in the County of Orange and
State of North Carolina and on the waters of Little River
adjoining the lands of of David R Allison Lydia McKee
and others containing Twenty acres to have and to hold the
said lands and premises and all and singular the tenements
hereditaments [etc] thereunto belonging or in any wise ap
pertaining to him the said John Redding his heirs Exec
=utors and administrators in fee simple forever free and
discharged from all incumbrances whatever. In special
trust and confidence nevertheless that the said John
Redding shall and will hold keep use and apply the
same to the uses and intents following and no other that
is to say that if the aforesaid debt and every part thereof
(Interest excepted) that may have accrued on the same shall
shall not be fully paid off and satisfied then and in that
case it shall be lawful and shall be the duty of the said
John Redding being thereunto required by the said Mary
A Woods having first advertised the same at the Court
Hous in the town of Hillsboro and three other publick
places within the County Orange for the space of
Twenty days to proceed to sell to the highest bidder for
ready money and convey the same by proper and sufficient
assurances to the purchaser And out of the proceeds or
moneys arising from said sale to retain all the necessary
expences of this trust and then pay off & discharge the
said debt (without Interest) or such a part thereof as shall
remain unpaid at the time of said and the over plus (if
any) he shall truly and faithfully return to the said Robert
Redding (agent as aforesaid) or his legal representatives
And it is further covenanted & agreed by and between all
the parties concernd in these presents that in the mean time
that is to say from the date of these presents that the said
Mary A Woods is to have the use and benefit of said parson
=age and to hold the same in possession until said debt
principle & costs are paid and she the same Mary A woods
doth further agree for the use of said land and premises not
to charge any Interest on the above described debt
   In testimony whereof the said parties to these presents
do hereunto set their hands and seals the day and date first
above written

	The Execution of this Deed was duly proved on the
oath of David R Allison the subscribing witness thereto &
ordered to be Registered
