Robert Reding to John Reding

This Indenture made this twenty first of January, Eighteen
hundred & fifty Between Robert Reding of the first part
& John Reding of the other part both of the County of Orange
& State of North Carolina Witnesseth that the said Robert Reding
for & in consideration of the sum of Eighty Seven dollars
& fifty cents to him in hand paid by the said John Reding
before the signing and delivery of these presents the receipt
whereof is hereby acknowledged he the said Robert
Reding hath bargained sold & delivered & do by these
presents grant bargain & sell unto the said John Reding
his heirs and assigns forever all that tract or parcel of
land lying and being in the County & State aforesaid
on the waters of Little River adjoining the Lands of
Hinton Murry L. Kinyon & others Bounded as follows
Begining at a post oak then [?]ing North twenty one
chains & 25 links to Black Oak then [?] west twenty
chains & 12 ½ links to a stake on Catherine Rays line
thence South twenty one chains & twenty five links to a
post oak thence East with hinton Murrys line twenty
chains & twelve & half links to the Begining containing
forty two acres be the same more or less to have & to hold
the aforesaid Lands & premises with their appurtenance
there unto the said John Reding his heirs and assigns
forever free from the claims of all persons in testimony
whereof the said Robert Reding hath hereunto set
his hand & affixed his seal the day and year above
written signed sealed and delivered

The Execution of the foregoing Deed was duly
acknowledged in open Court by Robert Reding the
maker thereof & ordered to be Registered.
