All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/nc/ncfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Jacqueline Wilkerson jgwilkerson@embarqmail.com September 10, 2009, 11:37 pm Written: October 1, 1873 Recorded: October 8, 1873 Orange County North Carolina Deed Book 42, Page 60 Elen & Robert Reding to Henry Malone Redding ) State of North Carolina ) To ) Orange County ) Malone ) This Indenture made and entered into this October the first One thousand Eight hundred and Seventy three between Robert Reding and Elen Reding of the first part and Henry Malone of the other part both of the County of Orange and State of North Carolina Witnesseth that the said Robert Reding & Elen Reding for and in consideration of the sum of Six hundred and Ninety Six dollars & twenty five cents to them in hand paid by the said Henry Malone hath bargained sold & by these presents do grant bargain sell and deliver unto the said Henry Malone his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract of land in said County on the Waters of Eno adjoining the lands of Samuel Crosset William W Allison Ezekiel Sartin & others bounded as follows. Beginning at a Stake Corner of Ezekiel Sartin & A Dameron Running thence East twenty three & a half chains to a Stake corner on Samuel Crossetts line thence South forty two chains and fifty Six links to a hickory corner of William W Allison thence West twenty three & a half chains to pointers on Ezekiel Sartins line thence north forty two chains & fifty Six links to first Station containing One hundred acres of land with all and every appurtenance thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining unto the said land and premises unto the said Henry Malone his heirs and assigns in fee Simple and we Robert Reding and Elen Reding do agree to bind ourselves our heirs and assigns to Warrant and forever defend all the right and title of the said land and premises unto Henry Malone his heirs and assigns forever – In Witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seal the day and year above written signed sealed and delivered ) in presence of ) Robert Reding (seal) Elen Reding (seal) North Carolina ) Probate Court Orange County ) 8th Octo 1873 Be it remembered that on this 8th day of October 1873 Personally appeared before me George Laws Judge of Probate Robert Reding and Elen Reding his wife and acknowledged the due execution by them of the foregoing Deed, whereupon the said Ellen Reding being by me privately examined separate and apart from her said husband touching her free consent to the execution of said deed she on such her examination declares that she executed the same freely of her accord and without force fear or undue influence of her said husband or any other person and does still voluntarily assent thereto let the said deed with this certificate be registered Geo Laws Probate Judge Additional Comments: Grantors: Robert and Elen Reding File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/nc/orange/deeds/reding503gdd.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/ncfiles/ File size: 3.3 Kb
