Reding executor of the last will and testament of the late William Barton deceased of the County of Orange and State of North Carolina of the one part and Mary N. Allison of the County and State aforesaid of the other part, Witnesseth, that the said William W. Reding Executor of the estate of William Barton, decd. for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred and ten dollars to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged has given, granted, bargained sold & conveyed & does give, grant, bargain, sell & convey to the said Mary N. Allison her heirs and assigns, a certain tract or parcel of land situate on the waters of Little River in the County & State afore- said, adjoining the lands of James C. Turner John Horner Abner Tilly & others, bounded as follows, Beginning at a white oak on the late Samuel Jordan lot thence with said lot north eight degrees east, twenty seven & four tenths p[?] to a rock, thence south eight eight and a half degrees east forty-four & a half p[?] to stake thence with Samuel P. Allison, North one degree east forty three p[?] to a stake, thence by lands of A. Tilley north eight-eight ½ degrees west seventy-six perches to a stake thence north eighty-two perches to a stake on old line, thence west eight two & a half perches to a stake near a small branch, thence south one hundred & forty-six perches to the middle of the public road, thence along said road south eighty four & a half degrees east forty perches to a stake, thence north eight four & a fourt degrees east forty five perches to pointers, thence south twenty degrees east twenty-three perches to the beginning, con- taining ninety-six acres & ninety-nine perches, more or less, with the exception of twenty-five acres that Wm B. Tilly bought of Hay- wood Taylor the former owner of the above described lands. To have and to hold the same with the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining to said Mary N. Allison her heirs & assigns forever. And the said William W. Reding Executor of the estate above described, for and in consideration as afore- said, doth hereby covenant and agree to warrant & defend the aforesaid premises as Executor to the said Mary N. Allison her heirs & assigns against the claims of all persons whatsoever. In testimony whereof the said Wm. W.
