Stephen Reding to John Reding

Reding    Know all men by these presents that I Stephen Red
  to    ing of the County of Sevier in the State of Arkansas have
Reding  this day nominated, constituted & appointed & by these
presents do nominate, constitute & appoint John
Redding of the County of Orange in the State of North Car
oline my true & Lawful Attorney in fact, for me
& in my name to transact any business of any nature
or kind whatsoever that I may be interested Either
in Law or Equity in the said County of Orange in
said State of North Carolina, and particularly at attend
for me or my said Attorney in fact, in any business
I may be interested in, or defending any Suit or Suits
that is or may be instituted against me in the said
County & State last aforesaid, hereby ratifying & con
firming any & evry act my Said Attorney may Do
for me in the premises, in as full, ample & Complete
a manner as if I were personally present & had
done the same myself, and giving my Said Attorney
my full power & Strength to use my name in any
manner he may think proper in & about the prem
ises, and to sign & seal for me & in my name any
instrument of Writing that he my Said Attorney
may think proper. In Witness whereof I have
hereunto set my hand & affixed my Seal
this 18th day of November AD 1847

that on this 18th day of November AD 1847
personally came Stephen Redding the maker
of the above & foregoing Instrument of writing who
is personally known by me, before me Ira
N Holman as Clerk of the Circuit Court in & for
the County aforesaid and acknowledged that he
Signed, Sealed & delivered the above instrument
of Writing on the day it bears date to the said
John Redding for the use and purposes therein
mentioned In Witness whereof I have hereunto set
(Seal) my brand as Clerk as aforesaid and affixed the
Seal of Said Circuit Court at my office in the
Town of Para[?] this 18th day of November AD 1847

	The within power of attorney was exhibited
in Open Court & the Certificate thereon appearing to
be in due form of Law it is Ordered together with
Said Certificate to be registered   J Allison CCC
