John Reding Sr to John Reding Jr

This Indenture made this 25th day of March AD 1836
Between John Reding Senr of the County of Orange & State of North
Carolina of the one part & John Reding Junr of the County & State
aforesaid of the other part, Witnesseth that the Said John Reding
for & in consideration of the Natural love & affection which he
has & bears to his Son John Redding Jr and for the better promo=
tion, advancement & maintance in Life of him the Sd John Reding
Jr & the further consideration of the Sum of Dollar to him in hand
paid by the Sd John Reding Jr before the Sealing & delivery of these pres=
ents, the recpt whereof is hereby acknowledged, he hath given gran=
ted bargained & sold & by these presents doth give grant bargain
sell alien & release unto the Sd John Reding Jr his heirs & assigns
a certain tract or parcel of Land Situate lying & being in the
County & State aforesaid on the waters of Little River adjoining
the Lands of John Minnis the hiers of William Woods decd & others
and bounded as follows to Wit Begining at pointers where a
gum a corner of Woods heirs stood, runing from thence South
18 chs to a Willow oak a corner of said Woods heirs, then East
7 chs & 25 links to a Stake & pointers, thence North (16) Sixteen Chains
& 50 links to a black Jack, then East 14 chs 25 links to a post oak thence
thence North John Minnis line 44 chs & 30 links to pointers
a corner of Joseph Rays heirs thence West with their line
25 chs & 50 links to a dogwood of Wilkersons line then South
42 chs & 70 links to a Stake on the line of Woods heirs, then East
with their line 4 chs & 25 links to the first Station –
Containing One hundred & twenty Seven Acres more or less
To have & to hold the above bargained Land & premises
together with all & singular the priveleges & appurtenances
thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining to the Sd
land & premises unto the said John Redding Jr his
heirs & assigns forever, and to their only proper use and
benefit forever, & the Said John Reding Senr for himself
his heirs executors or administrators doth covenant to and
with the Said John Reding Jr his heirs or assigns that the
right & title of the Same he will warrant & forever defend
by these presents against the claims of all persons whatsoever
In testimony whereof the Said John Reding Senr hath hereunto
set his hand & affixed his Seal the day & date first above written
