George Reeves to John Reeves
To all to whom these present shall come granting, Know  that I George Reeves 
of the County of Orange and state of North Carolina, Hatter, do give  unto my 
son John Reeves a certain piece or parcel of land lying and being in Orange 
County on the waters of New Hope being part of a larger tract of ? hundred  
and thirty three acres originally granted to Henry Morris beginning at a red 
oak lying down a corner of the original survey running thence south thirty and 
one half chains to a post oak then east fourty eight and one half chains to 
the first station containing by estimation one hundred and fourteen acres of 
land and all and singular the rights and priviledges comodeties hueditaments 
and assustenances thereunto belong ? (pg black) unto him the said John Reeves 
his heirs and assigns forever in fee simple absolutely in as full and ample 
manner to all intents and purposes as to the most learned in the law can 
devise further I the said George Reeves for myself my heirs Executors and 
assigns do covenant and agree to and with the said JOhn Reeves to warrant and 
defend the said land and ? forever against the lawful claims or demands of any 
person or persons whatsoever. In witness whereof I the said George Reeves have 
hereunto set my hand and seal the third day of March one thousand and eight 
hundred and three. Signed George Reeves in the presence of Will Andrews and 
James Reeves.  Orange County Feb. Term 1803 The execution of the foregoing 
bill of sale was duly proved in open court by the oath of Will Andrews as 
subscribing witness thereto and ordered to be registered John Taylor.
