Charles Roberts to John Roberts

Roberts to Roberts
   This Indenture made this first day of October in the year of our Lord 
Eighteen hundred & Eleven between Charles Roberts of the County of Orange 
& State of North Carolina of the one part and John Roberts of the said 
County & State of the other part Witnesseth that the said Charles Roberts 
for and in consideration of the Sum of Six hundred dollars to him in hand 
paid by the said John Roberts before the ensealing and delivery of these 
presents hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth bargain 
sell and convey unto the said John Roberts his heirs and assigns forever a
certain parcel or tract of land lying situate in the County aforesaid on 
the waters of Flat River Begining at a Maple on Rockey Creek thence East by a 
marked line to the Mill branch to a white Oak thence up the meanders of the 
said branch to a Post Oak thence South by a marked line to a pine formerly 
Charles Roberts Senr line thence along the said line to Rockey Creek to a 
white Oak the first Station Containing by estimation one hundred & fifty 
acres be the same more or less to have and to hold the Lands hereby conveyed 
and all and singular other the premises hereby bargained and sold and every 
part and parcel thereof with their and every of their appurtenances unto 
the said John Roberts his heirs and assigns forever to the only proper use 
and behoof of him the said John Roberts his heirs and assigns forever And
now the said Charles Roberts for himself his heirs Executors & Administrators 
doth covenant promise and grant to and with the said John Roberts his heirs 
etc that the said Charles Roberts at the time of sealing and delivery by these
presents was seized of a good sure and perfect Indefeasable title to the said 
bargained Land & premises sold & that the said premises now are & so forever
hereafter shall remain & be free & clear of & from all former gifts grants 
bargains Sales dowers etc made or suffered by him the said Charles Roberts 
or any after person whatsoever & that the said Charles Roberts & his heirs 
etc all & singular the premises hereby bargained & sold with the appurtenances 
unto the said John Roberts his heirs & assigns against him the said John 
Roberts his heirs & assigns & all and every person and persons whatsoever 
shall warrant and forever defend by these presents In witness whereof the said 
Charles Roberts hath hereunto set his hand & Seal the day & year first above
written
