Temperance Roberts to Charles Roberts

This Indenture made this 18th day of September 1827. between Temperance 
Roberts of the County of Orange & State of No Carolina of the one part & 
Charles Roberts of the said County & State of the other part Witnesseth 
that the said Temperance Roberts for & in consideration of the Sum of Five 
hundred Dollars to her in hand before the sealing & delivery of these 
presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged Have granted bargained 
& sold & confirmed & conveyed and by these presents doth, grant bargain, sell,
confirm, & convey unto the said Charles Roberts his etc forever A certain 
piece or Tract of Land situate in said County It being a part of the Tract 
of Land originally belonging to Jeremiah Roberts Decd Beginning at a white 
oak on Rocky Creek, thence with Joseph Roberts line to a Maple on the Haw 
Branch thence N 114 poles to Jinkens line a post oak, thence E 57 poles to a
white Oak in the County line, thence said line to Shadrack Roberts line to 
George Roberts Corner white oak in the Branch called the spring branch, then 
down the said branch to Rocky Creek, thence up the said Creek to the 
beginning: Containing 137. acres more or less To have & to Hold the aforesaid
bargained Land & premises with appurtenances & every thing in any wise 
belonging or appertaining thereunto unto said Charles Roberts his heirs etc 
forever Against her the said Temperance Roberts her heirs etc forever & all 
persons whatsoever lawfully thereunto In Testimony whereof the said Temperance
Roberts have hereunto set he hand & affixed her Seal this the day & date first
above written
