Charles Roberts, Sr. to Charles Roberts, Jr.

Roberts To Roberts

This Indenture made the 26th day of August in the year of Our Lord One thousand
Seven hundred & Eighty two Between Charles Roberts the Elder of Orange County &
provinces of North Carolina of the One part & Charles Roberts the younger of the
County aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said Charles Roberts the 
Elder for & in consideration of the Sum of One hundred pounds currency of the 
Province to him in hand paid before the sealing & delivery of these presents the
receipt whereof the said Charles Roberts elder doth hereby acknowledge hath 
granted bargained & sold aliened released & confirmed & by these presents doth 
from himself his heirs, doth grant bargain & sell alien & confirm unto the said 
Charles Roberts the younger & his heirs forever all that tract or parcel of Land 
Situate lying & being in the county aforesaid on the North Side of Flat River it
being part of a larger tract of land belonging to Charles Roberts the Elder & 
runs as followeth beginning at a Maple on Rocky Creek, thence East by a marked 
line to 1/2 mile branch to a White Oak thence to the branch to a Post Oak 
thence South by a Marked line to a Pine on the Said Charles Roberts the Elders 
line thence along the line to the creek to a White Oak, containing by estimation
one hundred & fifty acres by the same more or Less with reversion & reversions 
remainder & remainders rents & Services & also all the estate right title & 
Claim & Demand as well in Equity as in Law of him the said Charles Roberts
the elder & his heirs of in & to every part & parcel of the said seat tract or 
parcel of Land & premises above mentioned & all & singular the appurtenances 
thereto belonging or in any wise appertaining to the said Charles Roberts 
the younger his heirs & assigns to the only proper use & behoof of him the said
Charles Roberts the younger his heirs & assigns forever & the said Charles 
Roberts the Elder for himself his heirs doth covenant to & with the said Charles 
Roberts the younger his heirs & assigns forever by these presents that the said
Charles Roberts the Elder & his heirs the Said Seat tract or parcel of land & 
premises hereby bargained & sold & every part & parcel thereof against him 
the said Charles Roberts the elder & his heirs to the said Charles Roberts the
younger his heirs Exec’s Adm’s or assigns Shall & will warrant & forever defend 
by these presents In Witness whereof the said Charles Roberts the Elder doth
hereunto set his hand & affixed his seal the day & year first above written
