Top line cut off…
John U Kirkland the receipt whereof  is acknowledged hath bargained and sold 
to the said John U. Kirkland his heirs and assigns a part of Lot no. 6 in the 
town of Hillsboro lying on King Street adjoining William E. Anderson on the 
east McCauley on the South Josiah Turner ont eh West and on the north bounded 
by King Street. Containing about 32 ft it makes front together with the store 
home kitchen and smoke house thereon it being the same land which J. P. Sneed 
bought at execution as the property of James Allison .  So have and to hold 
the said lot of land homes and improvements to said Kirkland his heirs and 
assigns forever and the said Sneed for himself his heirs  exe. and 
administrators  promises and covenants to warrant and defend the same forever 
to the said Kirkland his heirs and assigns In testimony whereof the said Sneed 
hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year above written.  Jonathan 
P. Sneed by __?__ his atty ack.

acknowledged by John W Arrwood (sp?) the attorney of Jonathon P. Sneed, the 
matter thereof and ordered to be registered. J. Allison
