New Hope
Written: July 28, 1788
Recorded: August 1788

28 July 1788 -- GEORGE TEMPLIN to CHRISTOPHER BARBEE, both of Orange, North 
Carolina, for 100 pounds, 240 acres on the South side of New Hope. Beginning 
at three water oaks on the side of the low grounds, 16 chs. to a pine, N 35 
chs. to a white oak; W 10 chains to a pine at BOHANNON'S corner, N. 22 chs. to 
a pine; E 51 chains to a pine, S 30 chains to the beginning. (Signed) GEORGE 
TEMPLIN, JANNY TEMPLIN (X). Witnesses: EDWARD TRICE; SAMUEL MAY. Proved by 
SAMUEL MAY at the August Court Term.
