All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/nc/ncfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Pamela Boan boan60@msn.com July 7, 2008, 5:57 pm Written: April 11, 1810 Recorded: May 1811 April 11, 1810 Deed Book 13 pg 556 This Indenture made this Eleventh day of April in the year of our Lord, one thousand Eight hundred and ten between Edward Walton of Orange County and state of North Carolina of the one part and Zachariah Davies of Leunenburg County and state of Virginia of the other part witnesses that the said Edward Walton for and in consideration of the Sum of Twelve hundred pounds to him in hand paid by the said Zachariah Davies, his heirs and assigns forever, a certain tract of land lying in the County of Orange on the waters of New Hope, beginning at a White Oak on the south side of the south fork of New Hope on James Cheeks line running rhence along the south forty six and a half chains to a white oak corner to George Long thence north sixty three and a half chains to a white oak Currys Corner thence west five chains to a white oak thence north fourty two and a half chains to an ash on a branch thence north eighty four degrees west fourteen and a half chains to a Spanish oak thence south twenty sic degrees west nine chains to a black oak thence north thirteen chains to a black oak thence west thirty one and a half chains to a Spanish oak thence south thirteen chains to a hickory Bakers corner thence west twenty six chains to a white oak Mitchels line thence south twelve and a half chains to an ash on the north fork of New Hope thence east thirty seven chains to a spanis oak thence south thirty four degrees east thirty five and a half chains to a black oak thence south twenty five degrees west thirty chains to a rock on the creek thence up the same passing the Mill Dam on the south side at forty three chains thence up the south fork to the beginning five hundred and thirty four acres together with all the appertenances thereunto belonging to have and to hold the said land and premises and every part thereof unto the only proper use and behalf of him the said Zachariah Davies his heirs and assigns forevr and the said Edward Walton for himself his heirs doth covenant and agree to and with the said Zachariah Davies anf his heirs that he the said Edward Walton will warrant and forever defend the said land and premises and every part thereof against the claim or claims of all manner of person or persons whatever laying claim to the same. In witness whereof the said Walton hath set his hand and seal the day and year above written Edward Walton Senr.
