Abraham Whitaker to Thomas Reding

This Indenture made this third day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand
Eight hundred & ten between Abraham Whitaker of Orange County & State of North
Carolina of the one part and Thomas Reding junr of the County & State aforesaid
of the other part Witnesseth that the said Abraham Whitaker for and in consideration
of twenty three 
pounds Seven shillings and six pence to him in hand paid the receipt
whereof the said Abraham Whitaker doth hereby acknowledge and himself
contented satisfied and paid, the said Abraham Whitaker hath granted
bargained sold aliened and confirmed and by these presents doth grant
bargain sell alien and confirm unto the said Thomas Reding his heirs &
assigns forever all that tract and parcel of land situated lying & being in
the County of Orange and said State and is bounded as follows begining at
at at a black Jack on Peellors old line thence South Eleven chains to a Post Oak
Thomas Redings corner then East Seventeen chains to a white Oak Thos. Redings
corner, thence North Eleven chains to a stake on Peelors old line, thence west
along his line to the first Station Containing by estimation Eighteen and
a half acres also all trees woods and underwoods, profits commodities ad
-vantages ways waters and appurtenances whatsoever to the said messuage
and Lands above mentioned belonging or any wise appertaining whatsoever
to the said messuage and Lands above mentioned and also the remainder and
remainders rents and services of the said premises and every part thereof and
all Estate right title Interest claim and demand whatsoever of him the said
Abraham Whitaker of in and to the said messuage and premises & every
part thereof to have and to hold the said messuage & tenement & all & singular
the premises above mentioned and every part and parcel thereof with the
appurtenances thereunto belonging unto the said Abraham Whitaker
his heirs and assigns to the only proper use and behoof of the said Thomas
Reding his heirs and assigns forever and the said Abraham Whitaker
for himself and his heirs doth by these presents warrant and forever defend
the said tract or messuage of Land unto the said Thomas Reding his heirs
and assigns forever and from the lawful claim or title of any person or
persons whatsoever In witness whereof the said Abraham Whitaker hath hereunto
set his hand and affixed his Seal the day and year above written
