To Joseph Wood, junr This Indenture made between Joseph Woods, Sen. & Solomon Woods both of the County of Orange & State of North Carolina. Witnesseth that the said Joseph Woods for and in Consideration of the Sum of Twenty pounds in hand paid by the said Solomon the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged hath granted, bargained and sold & doth hereby grant bargain & sell to the said Solomon Woods his heirs & assigns forever two certain pieces or parcels of land adjoining each other being in the County of Orange being part of a tract where on Richard Clements formerly lived and part of Thomas Woods tract and is bounded as follows. Wiz. Beginning at a pine corner of Burrell Chisenhall's Land thence on his line North 68 East Eleven chains to a Post oak old corner thence North 43 West Seven & a half chains to a pine then North 6 East twenty six chains to a pine old Corner thence South 10 west Nineteen & a quarter chains to Glenn's Corner thence South 34 west ten chains then with the great road South 43 west Seven and a half chains to a red oak, on the South side of said road Chisenhalls Corner on Glenn's line then North 49 west Nineteen & a half chains to the beginning Containing forty seven acres more or less to have and to hold the said Land with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining to him the said Solomon Woods his heirs & assigns forever and the said Joseph Wood hereby binds himself his heirs to forever warrant and defend the aforesaid Land & premises to the said Solomon Woods his heirs and assigns and against the lawful claim or claims of all persons whatsoever.
