All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/nc/ncfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Jacqueline Wilkerson jgwilkerson@embarqmail.com September 5, 2009, 1:12 pm Written: October 4, 1806 Recorded: November 1806 Orange County North Carolina Deed Book 12, Page 264, 265 Thomas Woods to John Redin Thomas to John Reding This Indenture made the 4th day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred & Six Between Thomas Woods of the County of Orange and State of North Carolina of the one part, and John Redin of the said County and State of the other part Witnesseth that the said Thomas Woods for and in consideration of the Sum of Three hundred & fifty pounds current money of said State to him in hand paid by the said John Reddin, the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge he the said Thomas Woods hath granted bargained sold aliened & confirmed and by these presents doth grant bargain sell alien and confirm unto the said John Reddin and his heirs a certain piece or parcel of Land situate lying and being in the County of Orange and State aforesaid on the waters of Little river and being part of Tract No 29 and bounded as followeth begining at a white oak corner of Tract No 28 and 29 thence North thirty chains to a B.O. William Woods corner, thence North 45 East twenty seven and a quarter chains to a Gum in line of tract No 30 thence along said line twenty two and a quarter chains to a stake, then South 31 west to a stake thirty Eight & a half chains, then North five chains to a stone heap, thence South thirty one west to Nichols’s line B.O[?]. Saplins 25 1/2 chains, thence west four and a quarter chains to the first Station Containing Ninety Eight and a half Acres more or less and all houses buildings Orchards ways waters water courses profits commodities, hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever to the said premises hereby granted or any part thereof belonging or in any wise appertaining and the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders, rents issues & profits thereof and also all the Estate right title Interest use trust property claim and demand what soever of him the said John Redden of in and to the said premises to the only proper use and behoof of him the said John Redden and of his heirs and assigns forever and the said Thomas Woods doth covenant for himself, and his heirs the aforesaid Land and premises and every part thereof against himself and his heirs and against the claim or claims of all and every other person and persons whatever to the said John Redden his heirs and assigns shall and will warrant & forever defend by these presents In witness whereof the said Thomas Woods hath here unto set his hand and affixed his Seal the day and year first above written Signed Sealed & delivered ) Thomas Woods (LS) in presence of ) Orange County November Term 1806 The Execution of the J[as] H.
