Orange County, NC - George Neese Revolutionary War Record ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ George Neese Revolutionary War Pension File, No. S7268 Born Bucks Co., PA on November 1, 1744, moved to Guilford Co., N.C. in 1769. Names of wife and children not given. Enlisted in 1776 in Guilford Co., N.C. and served under Lt. Clapp, Capt. Whitworth, Col. Martin, Gen'l. Rutherford. Was marched to western part of the state and encamped on the Cataba River, then marched to abt. 2 mi from the Blue Ridge, then across the Blue Ridge to Watauga, following Cherokee Indians. After destroying indian towns, returned home, about 5 months.
