JOHN COPELAND enlisted in the Revolution from Orange, N.C. He was born in 
Sussex, Va. JOHN COPELAND of Wayne, Tenn. RICHARD COPELAND, 64 (in 1852) says 
he is heir of JOHN COPELAND who died 30 Sept. 1844. His mother, SALLY died 
_____. They were residents of Chatham.
