All one had to do was to give the wink and the "stuff" would be forthcoming in a jiffy. They little thought that the coils of the law were slowly, but surely being wound around them, until last week a shower of warrants awakened them to the fact that they were entangled and into trouble. The officers took in with one swoop Mallory Sikes, white, Jude Edwards and wife, Madison Nunn and Verge Long, colored. Sikes, Edwards and Nunn were sent to jail. Edwards' wife is out upon her own recognizance and Long gave bond. Dave Allen, the head of the "Potter's Field" gang, "smelt a mouse," and decamped.
