The News of Orange County, April 30, 1959
Marshel Petain Berry of Hillsboro, died in Watts Hospital Thursday morning.
He was 38.
He died after six weeks of illness.
Funeral held Friday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. at Hillsboro Methodist Church by 
Rev. S.T. Kimbrough and Rev. W.A. Seawell.
Burial in Hillsboro Cemetery.
Survivors:
Wife: Mrs. Helen Gates Berry
Two sons: Ronald Gray and Steven Gates Berry, of the home
Five sisters: Miss Charlotte Berry of Hurdle Mills, Mrs. Lee R. Barnes of 
Durham, Mrs. Lloyd Oakley of Hurdle Mills, Mrs. Robert Green and Mrs. William 
Clayton of Roxboro
Three brothers: Charles E. Berry, Jr. of Cedar Grove, J.T. Berry of Raleigh 
and C.H. Berry of Mebane
Stepmother: Mrs. Eula Taylor Berry of Hurdle Mills
