DIED, in Orange County, on Wednesday, the 16th instant, after an illness of 
several months, MAJOR-GENERAL JOHN BIRD, aged about 42 years. GENERAL BIRD was 
an officer during the late war with Great Britain, and was, at the time of his 
death, Major-General of his Division.
