The News, Hillsboro, NC, April 15, 1948
John Borland died at home, April 9 after a two week illness.
Son of the late Jackson and Lyda Borland
November 30, 1890, he became a member of New Hope Presbyterian Church by 
certificate from Union Grove Methodist Church.
He was the oldest member of New Hope at the time of his death.
Surviving:
Wife [not named]
Two Sons: Sam and Jim Borland
Two Daughters: Mrs. Bill Barker and Mrs. Roland Doson
Four Grandchildren
Interment: New Hope Cemetery
