CHARLES CHRISTMAS, aged 40 years. He was the youngest son of a numerous and respectable family, and from his early youth enjoyed a large portion of the public confidence. Whilst a young man, he was promoted to the colonelcy of his county. He possessed the virtues and generosity and benevolence in a high degree; these virtues added to his agreeable manner secured to him the respect and esteem of all who knew him. By the poor of his neighborhood, who had always been the object of his liberal charity, he was ardently beloved. The death of COL. CHRISTMAS furnishes a further proof of that strange presentment which was evinced in the case of the younger LORD LITTLETON. For several months before his death, he had a presentment of his approaching end - he was in good health and spirits; yet the conviction that he was shortly to die, was so strong upon his mind, that he made his will, endeavored as fast as possible to settle his affairs. He was suddenly attacked with a violent pleurisy, which in five or six days terminated his life.
