The News of Orange County, July 12, 1956
Mrs. Artelia Watkins Crabtree, of Hillsboro, died last Friday in a Durham 
hospital.
She was 56.
Funeral held Sunday afternoon at New Sharon Methodist Church by Rev. W.A. 
Seawall and Rev. C.S. Hubbard.
Burial in the church cemetery.
Survivors:
Husband: Frank Crabtree of the home
Six daughters: Louise and Elizabeth of the home, Mrs. A.Q. Roebuck of Raleigh, 
Mrs. A.F. Thompson, Mrs. Richard Roberts and Mrs. Earl Allison of Hillsboro
Three sons: C.L. Crabtree of Hillsboro, Lewis and Douglas of the home
Mother: Mrs. John Watkins of Hillsboro
Five sisters: Mrs. Charlie Jarmon and Mrs. Otha Dean of Fuquay Springs, Mrs. 
Wade Johnson and Mrs. Hal Johnson of Broadway and Mrs. Will Crabtree of 
Hillsboro and James Watkins of Durham
Six grandchildren
